At Sunset Veterinary Center, Dr. An and staff strive to provide compassionate and excellent medical, surgical and nursing care. We understand pet-parenting comes in all different shapes and forms, and our goal is to offer honest recommendations tailored to fit any parenting method and budget.
We acknowledge the value of your time and we focus on providing prompt medical care and diagnostic results for your busy lifestyles and pet’s urgent medical needs. We uphold many wholesome traditional values and we treat all of our patients and parents with kindness and respect.
We are here to educate and bridge the gap between pet-parenting and modern state-of-the-art veterinary medicine and pet care. Ultimately, we keep your pet’s best interest in mind and work collaboratively with you to make the best informed decisions.

Your Veterinarian
Dr. Phillip An received his Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.
Dr. An has working experience with many specialists and developed particular interests in surgery, internal medicine, dermatology and fear free techniques.
Dr. An has several years (10+) of private and corporate veterinary experience and has served as a Medical Director in his most recent role.
Prior to starting his own practice, Dr. An has been known in the community for emphasizing great customer experiences and bedside manner. Dr. An has an interest in community outreach and educating pet parents and families. He has participated in several career fairs and plans to organize future events to provide resources to young aspiring veterinarians and veterinary professionals.
